Tottenham target Brozovic set for first Inter start in one month
19 October at 13:36Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is set to start tomorrow’s Europa League clash against Southampton. The Croat has been sidelined for the last month after a huge argument with manager Frank De Boer in the half time break of the Hapoel Be’er Sheva clash, the only game that Brozovic has started so far this season.
With Joao Mario and Kondogbia who are not included in the Europa League’s squad list, Brozovic will have a chance to shine in one of the most important game of the season for Inter that sit in the last position of their goup with zero points in the first two games.
Brozovic’s Inter contract expires in 2019 and the nerazzurri were in talks for a contract extension before last month’s issues between the manager and the player.
Inter might offer Bozovic a new contract if the 24-year-old midfielder proves to have changed his behaviour and if his performance on the pitch will finally live up to his potential.
Milan, Juventus and Tottenham are still monitoring the performances of the Croatia International and could decide to make a January bid if the player does not extend his stay at the San Siro.
