Barcelona, Manchester United, Tottenham, Ajax, and a host of others are keen to add him to their slates of young, promising, and productive youngsters on the payrolls. Despite making his national team debut this year, the 20-year-old Nigerian still remains a mystery to many outside the inner-workings of football.
With Anderlecht, he’s been mainly utilized on the left flank, where Onyekuru has caused problems for opposition defenses. While his final ball still needs work, when in possession he can be electric with his close control, searing pace, and ability to strike the ball from distance.
The signs are that he's going to score a lot of goals in his career. In 2016-17 he grabbed 22 in the Belgian top flight for Eupen, and already this season he has seven in 14 games.
