Youngster admits he snubbed Man Utd contract extension to join Championship side

Josh Harop is one of the most promising products of Manchester United academy. The promising English midfielder scored his first goal in his Premier League debut this past May, but the Red Devils have now decided to sell him on loan.

Championship side Preston North End have just confirmed the loan acquisition of the 21-year-old who has released his first interview with the club’s official website.

During the interview Harop has openly admitted that he has rejected a chance to sign a contract extension with the Red Devils in order to get more game time somewhere else.

"I'm delighted to be here, it's a new start for me to get things going in my career and I'm buzzing to get playing and to make an impact in the team.

"I'm 21 now and I'm confident in myself, I need to play first team football to get myself out there. That wasn't guaranteed at United, even though they offered me a new contract it was very limited in game time and so I couldn't take that risk at my age”, Harop said.
