Cassano: Sampdoria ask for a contract termination
"Insubordination, open contestation of corporate guidelines and over-critical." With these allegations Sampdoria ask, the Lega Calcio for an arbitration panel for the termination of Antonio Cassano's contract, after insults by the player to the president Riccardo Garrone. The lawyer Andrea Galli prepared the application in the name and on behalf of Sampdoria, who also appointed the lawyer Fabio Fazzi.
Among the issues addressed, which concern the rights and duties governing the employment relationship under the Civil Code, the lawyer for Sampdoria highlights how there has been a real "insubordination". An attitude that would have constituted "a serious breach of discipline and proper conduct of the work," but also "insults and threats" against their superiors.
"The severity of the episode - the report said – has forced the club to ask more severe sanctions (termination of contract, ed) that, unfortunately, also means losing the opportunity of obtaining any contract fees from the sale of the player whose contract is due to expire in 2013. But it is clear that at stake is the credibility of the entire executive staff of the Club".
