Josè Mourinho spoke well of his former club, Inter, after he was awarded the Balon d'Or. Speaking to Sky Italy, he said:
"I am the best coach in the world because I coached the best team in the world in 2010. The only thing I didn't like about this evening is when the presenter said "Mourinho, coach of Real Madrid". He should have said Mourinho, coach of Inter and Real Madrid”. This award belongs more to Mourinho coach of Inter than Mourinho coach of Real Madrid."

An emotional Mourinho tonight. "Sneijder's words, the hugs of Maicon, Lucio and the Inter staff present here, and I can imagine all the Inter players, the president and all the fans are all happy for me. We were a family, we continue to be, I am part of it even from afar, I would love to go to S. Siro on Sunday with this award and go with my players under the "Curva". He wishes all the best to Inter: "I want Inter to win all the matches except against my current team, but I hope that they always win, absolutely always. I am an Inter fan, full stop. At the moment things have changed. If Milan draw some matches and Inter continue to win, they can still win the Scudetto."

Kaka's future? "At Real. It took a long time working at his recovery, now he's with us. He told me honestly that it is very important for him to show his skill at Real, now that he can do it. Kaka will stay with us, for sure".
