No Pogba? Man United set to recall Valencia midfielder

Manchester United want to recall Andreas Pereira from Valencia, and want to do so as early as January.

According to local paper Plaza Deportiva, the Valencia man has not found the playing time he was looking for when he went on loan.

He left against Coach Jose Mourinho’s wishes in the summer because he was afraid of never getting a game, but things have ironically taken an unexpected twist.

Valencia are flying high, and can count on starts like Goncalo Guedes and Carlos Soler, while Manchester United have lost Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick to injury, meaning Pereira might just get a game or two.

Having only started four of the Mestalla side’s Liga games so far, his time in Spain looks to have been a setback, but he now has a key lifeline.

This would, however, mean reimbursing some of the loan fee that Valencia paid for Pereira in the summer.
