AC Milan aim to relaunch Bertolacci’s career

Andrea Bertolacci wants to convince AC Milan that he is the right man to play in the middle of the pitch and AC Milan believe it is worth to give the former Genoa star a second chance. The rossoneri boss Cristian Brocchi expects a U-turn performance in any of the final three games of the season and wants to see an improvement in terms of quality and personality.

AC Milan believe in Bertolacci, that’s what Adriano Galliani told the player’s agent Alessandro Lucci yesterday.

The only player who will definitely start against Bologna is the captain Riccardo Montolivo, whilst Juraj Kucka, Andrea Bertolacci and José Mauri are all battling out for a spot from the first minute against the Felsinei. The product of AS Roma academy has been training with the rest of the team since last Wednesday and has three games left to prove that he can be the player who impressed at the Marassi last season.

Bertolacci has never given the impression of being a vital player for AC Milan, neither under Sinisa Mihajlovic, nor during Cristian Brocchi’s reign. The 25-year-old midfielder has probably struggled to cope with pressure and the price AC Milan paid to buy him from AS Roma last summer (€ 20 million) has probably had a negative influence on him.

Will Bertolacci prove his detractors wrong in the final three games of the season?
