AC Milan change their summer transfer plans as they pounce on Croatian star

  • Lorenzo Bettoni
AC Milan have resumed their interest in Croatian star Nikola Kalinic who had already been linked with a move to the San Siro one year ago. The rossoneri have set sights on several top strikers around Europe but have already faced a couple of transfer blows.

On the one hand, Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata has refused to join the San Siro hierarchy and is on the verge of joining Manchester United. On the other hand, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has demanded a huge salary (€ 12 million-a-year) with AC Milan that are not open to match the striker’s demands.

Andrea Belotti is also a transfer target of the Serie A giants who, however, are unable to match Torino’s € 100 million asking price. AC Milan are trying to negotiate a lower transfer fee for the Italian but, meantime, they are having a look around Europe to see if they can identify any potential attacking reinforcement.

Our sources can confirm that AC Milan have had contacts with the representatives of Kalinic who can leave Fiorentina for € 30 million even if the Croat has a release clause set to € 50 million.

The signing of Kalinic would not prevent the rossoneri from signing one second striker lie, for example, Port’s Andre Silva who has a release clause of € 60 million but who may be leaving his club for a lower transfer fee.
