AC Milan could trigger Nolito’s Celta release clause to seal summer move

With AC Milan’s strikers in crisis (Carlos Bacca has only netted three goals in the last two months, Mario Balotelli does not find the net since last Semptember), the rossoneri will try to strengthen their attacking force next season.

Adriano Galliani had already made an attempt to sign Celta Vigo front-man Nolito last year and he could make a new attempt in the summer. The former Benfica man has just extended his stay at the Balaidos until 2019 but the player has also agreed an € 18 million release clause on his new deal.

Scorer of 38 goals in 94 La Liga games throughout his career, Nolito’s goals have helped his club to reach a Europa League spot this season, a target that Os Celestes have been missing out on since 2006.

Nolito, 29, has netted 11 goals and registered 7 assists this term.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique wants to rejoin his former player at the Nou Camp, though AC Milan have already found economic agreement with the player and could consider to pay his release clause in the summer like they did last year with Carlos Bacca.

Inter, Valencia and Atletico Madrid are also interested in welcoming the player’s services.
