As reported yesterday, despite the imminent arrival of 27 year old center back Adil Rami –perhaps the France international, who will be officially signed on January 3rd, will play his first friendly game with his new team in two weeks against Young Boys- AC Milan keep on working to reinforce their team’s defense; the rossoneri are interested in Saint-Etienne 22 year old left back Faouzi Ghoulam, but, as reported by the Daily Express, also Manchester United are keen on the Algeria international; this latter has in any case told Sky Sports that he would prefer to remain at the French club at least until the end of the current season. Regarding the possible departures, yesterday the agent of 28 year old midfielder Antonio Nocerino has denied to be in talks with Lazio; according to Tuttosport, the former Palermo player has become Torino’s main target for the next transfer window.

Napoli’s main target seems to be Barcelona 29 year old midfielder Javier Mascherano; but, interviewed by El Grafico, the Argentina international has declared that, although he is constantly in touch with the azzurri’s manager Rafa Benitez, he won’t move to Naples. Napoli will also have to deal with the situation of their goalkeeper Pepe Reina; as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 32 year old –actually on loan from Liverpool and who has become one of the azzurri’s cornerstone- has been observed by Barcelona scouts during Wednesday’s game against Fiorentina.
