AC Milan: mission for Mangala. Inter: doubts about Carew

As reported last night –and perhaps, always highlighted by their executives- AC Milan are working to rejuvenate their first team:  and, in fact, as reported by both the Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, the rossoneri are thinking about FC Porto 20 year old defender Eliaquim Mangala; the France Under 21 year old international is valued 20 million euros and is also tracked by Manchester City. According to the latter media, the Lombard club is also thinking about a new young coach like Filippo Inzaghi, actually working for the youth team, and Gennaro Gattuso, captain and temporary coach of FC Sion. Meanwhile, the situation of 28 year old forward Robinho has become misterious: Milan’s Chief Executive Adriano Galliani has kept the player as he has considered Santos’offer unsufficient, but the Brazil international is not as important as expected for the team; coach Massimiliano Allegri hopes in his help for the last part of the season, but in June, when he will have just one year left on his contract, the former Real Madrid and Manchester City player will probably be yielded.

As announced yesterday, 33 year old striker John Carew has substained the medicals for Inter Milan, but the Norway international cannot be considered a nerazzurri player yet. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, in fact, the Lombard club will keep him on trial for about one week before signing him, but the reason of Inter’s doubts is still unknown. Meanwhile, as highlighred by calciomercato.com, the extension of 30 year old forward Antonio Cassano’s contract seems always more probable.
