AC Milan: Montella explains why Bonucci is not a problem for AC Milan

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella talked to assembled media on Saturday afternoon, on the eve of the game against Roma. The rossoneri tactician revealed the truth over his reported argument with Mirabelli and defended the diavoli star Bonucci who had been criticized by most of Italian media in the last few weeks.

“I am on very good terms with Massimiliano, an amazing relationship. We are always together and he doesn’t tell me what I have to do. We respect each other’s position. I spend more time with him than with my wife, he must cover his role, reports about an argument between us are fake”, Montella said commenting reports of an argument between him and Mirabelli after the Sampdoria defeat.

“Bonucci is not a problem”, Montella said. “He will never be an issue for us because he is the only player who has won trophies here. He knows he has to improve. We don’t regret his signing, I think he will remain at the club in the coming years. I think critics have been too heavy, looks like it’s all Bonucci’s fault. He doesn’t have specific responsibilities for the goal scored by Rijeka. He is really motivated; I am not worried by him.”
