AC Milan, Montella wants Fabregas at all costs

AC Milan will be looking for a long-time replacement for Riccardo Montolivo who picked up a knee injury in the last International game played with Italy national team.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Vincenzo Montella’s priority is Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas who rejected a move to the San Siro last summer.

The Spaniard has only played 297 minutes with the Blues this term and could be set Stamford Bridge exit in the January transfer window.

That’s why AC Milan hope to persuade the former Barcelona and Arsenal star to move to AC Milan.
Vincenzo Montella is looking for midfield reinforcement and both Fabreagas and Fiorentina star Milan Badelj are on the rossoneri watchlist.

Badelj’s Fiorentina contract runs until 2018 and the player’s agent has already revealed that the player won’t put pen to paper on a new deal with the club which means that the next transfer window is one of the last chances Fiorentina have to monetize the player’s exit.
