AC Milan, Niang: ‘I dream of playing in the Premier League. Galliani is like a father, on Pobga....’

AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang has released a very interesting interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport and was asked about his youth mistakes as well as his plans for the future.

“I made many mistakes in the past, the worst one was last February’s car crash. I’ve said ‘no more’ after that. I hadn’t even realize the pool diving was a craziness, I understood that later. Everyone knows what I am doing and everyone knows what I did: I can either be unlucky or just not good enough to hide my mistakes. Actually, I shot them in videos instead. Anyway, it’s time to stop now, I’ve promised myself.”

“I want to get a France National team call-up. I was close to that a few years ago but I was excluded from U-21 France national team as a punishment for leaving the training centre to go to the disco. I am in contact with Deschamps, I hope he’ll give me a chance. I’ve never thought of Sengal, I am feeling French.”

“I was born centre forward and I will always be that kind of player. But I am happy. Playing on the wings was not easy at the beginning at Genoa, than it become easier and now I have to defend, but not even too much, so I can be fresh and clear-minded in front of goal.”

“I talk to Pogba very frequently, but we barely talk about football. Things are not going quite the right way for him now, but he feels trusted by Mourinho. I tell him not to pay too much attention to criticisms. Everyone expects a lot from him for his price-tag. After one goal for 30 meters, he’s market value would become € 100 million again.”

“Racism can only exist in the world of idiots. But, you know, there is everything in this world. Who goes to the stadium to boo black footballers is unhappy or has nothing to do in his life.”

“I could have played in the Premier League and I dream of playing there one day. They play the right football for my skills. When I moved to Milan, I could have moved to Arsenal or Everton instead. Two or three days before last year’s derby I received the offer of Leicester. I asked my agent what Milan wanted to do and he told me that the wanted to keep me. ‘You are going to stay and score in the derby’ Mihajlovic told me at the time.”

“I have no regrets; I’d have been Vardy’s back-up. They have plenty of money in England, they can spend € 20 million to sign a player who stays on the bench.”
