AC Milan: Seedorf could be fired. Inter: Nani closer
The situation at AC Milan seems always more complicated: according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, during yesterday’s meeting between president Silvio Berlusconi, his daughter Barbara, Chief Executive Adriano Galliani, the first team’s assistant coach Mauro Tassotti and three players, the former Italian Prime Minister has decided to give an ultimatum to the head coach Clarence Seedorf: if he won’t obtain some points in the next two games against Lazio and Fiorentina, the Dutchman will be fired. As revealed by the Corriere della Sera, the former Botafogo midfielder has most of his players against him. For his eventual replacement, Tassotti could remain in charge until the end of the team, when the team could be trained by the current Italian national team coach Cesare Prandelli together with Filippo Inzaghi. This latter, as highlighted by calciomercato.com, could bring many players from the youth team, that he is actually training, and would get rid of some veterans like 31 year old center back Philippe Mexes, while the future of 23 year old striker Mario Balotelli would remain uncertain. Different situation for city rivals Inter Milan, who seem to be already active on the transfer market; the nerazzurri’s priority is reinforcing their team’s flank, and seem to have a concrete chance for Manchester United 28 year old winger Nani: according to the Corriere dello Sport, in fact, the nerazzurri are just one step away from the Portugal international, that the Red Devils would like to yield on permanent basis.
