AC Milan take Montella decision

AC Milan executives have confirmed Vincenzo Montella after a meeting held in the club’s headquarters. Calciomercato.com had reported the beginning of the meeting between Montella, Fassone and Mirabelli earlier today. The meeting lasted half an hour and executives of the club have confirmed their trust in the Italian boss who has been hugely criticized for the rossoneri’s three defeats in the opening seven games of the season.

AC Milan are desperate to qualify for Champions League next season otherwise they’ll have to sell one of their top stars in order to solve their potential economic woes.

AC Milan are far from Champions League positions at the moment and speculations about a possible replacement of Montella with Carlo Ancelotti or Walter Mazzarri have been mounting over the last few hour.

Mazzarri, a former Inter and Napoli manager, is also being linked with replacing Ronaldo Koeman at Everton.

AC Milan will face Inter in the derby of Milan after the International break
