Agent: "Allegri will stay at Juventus, he's happy there"
"Allegri will stay where he is, he's happy at Juventus".
Talk about a a bombshell! Agent Giovanni Branchini spoke to Tuttosport yesterday, and had a number of fascinating insights.
The first is on Massimiliano Allegri, who has been dogged by speculation that he is on his way to Chelsea, a story Luca Borioni broke on these pages.
Next, Branchini took us back to January, and to Allegri's former club, Milan. Specifically, he revealed that former Rossoneri promise (and current struggler) Mattia De Sciglio
"De Sciglio was very close to Juventus this January".
Beyond that, he told the Turinese paper that Juventus had made a lot of progress over the past few years.
"Juve's improvement is the result of teamwork. There is little doubt that the Bianconeri are not a part of Europe's Elite, along with Bayern, Real Madrid and Barcelona. We could see it last season, and this year has vindicated it".
"Juventus' early-season struggles... well, wasn't it obvious that a squad that had been rebuilt would need some time to settle?".
