Agent: ‘Berardi ready for a big club….but he wants to play’

No secret Domenico Berardi will be one of the hottest commodities in Serie A this summer as the 22-year-old winger could decide to step up his career, moving to a bigger club than Sassuolo.

Juventus can exercise a € 25 million option to buy him at the end of the season, but the Neroverdi’s president Giorgio Squinzi revealed last week, he’d like to keep Berardi at Sussuolo, despite both Milan and Inter are keeping tabs on the talented Italian winger.

Talking to FcInterNews.it, Berardi’s agent Simone Seghedoni revealed the player is ready to play for a big team next season.

“Berardi’s contract with Sassuolo runs until 2019, but Juve have an option to buy him”, Mr. Seghedoni told Italian journalists.

“Juventus and Sassuolo are on good terms, but nothing has been decided yet.”

“Domenico is ready to play for a big club, he has already proved that he has the right mentality to step up his career. He’s among the best 21-year-old right wingers out there, though he still needs to develop.”

“He needs to play, that will be an important condition in case he’d decide to change club in the future.”
Scorer of 6 goals in 21 Serie A games this term, Berardi made his Serie A debut under his current coach Eusebio Di Francesco. The player is still very close to his mentor who has been recently linked with the AC Milan job.

“Sassuolo will try everything to keep them both, at least for one more season. They could decide to stay also next year, but what I can say now is that lot of Italian and European clubs are plotting moves to sign Berardi.”
