Agent of Arsenal keeper plays down Juventus links

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny is being linked with a summer move to the J Stadium this summer. Juventus have reportedly targeted the Poland star as a possible long term replacement for Gigi Buffon. According to a report of Sky Sport, Juventus have reached an agreement with the player’s entourage and are ready to offer € 16 million to the Gunners to land the 27-year-old.

The player’s agent, however, has denied that he has already reached an agreement with the Champions League finalists. “There is still no agreement with Juventus”, David Manasseh has told Prezgląd Sportowy.

“Szczesny has yet to talk with Wenger who has been confirmed as Arsenal coach for the next two years.”

Szczesny spent the last two seasons on loan at AS Roma. The Poland International has imposed himself as one of the best Serie A goalkeepers this season so much so Napoli are also considering signing him to replace Pepe Reina whose contract also expires in 2018.
