After reports this morning that Chelsea are back in pursuit of Inter midfielder Antonio Candreva, the player’s agent, Federico Pastorello has been speaking to FCInter1980.it (via Calciomercato.com) about the latest situation. He stated that; “Antonio is very calm at the moment and is only thinking about Inter. He’s happy with the arrival of Spalletti as the new coach”.
 

When asked about Candreva’s future he replied; “I would say it’s 80 per cent that he stays at Inter but Chelsea? You cannot exclude anything at the moment”.
 

Blues boss Antonio Conte looked close to signing the 30-year-old last summer but ultimately, the player joined the Nerazzurri. Candreva failed to live up to his top billing last season in a disappointing campaign for the club. Conte however, is aware of his ability having had him as part of the his Italian national team and there are more rumours abound that he is readying another assault before the August 31 deadline.
