The agent of former Milan midfielder Abdel Taarabt has been speaking about a possible return to Serie A. Pierre Frelot told Portuguese sports daily A Bola that; “He’s close to a saying farewell to Benfica, Pescara is a possible destination”.
 

The 27-year-old, who has only ever shown brief glimpses of his undoubted quality, spent the second-half of the 2014 season with the rossoneri before he was transferred from his parent club, Queens Park Rangers to Benfica to try to resurrect his career. His nightmare continued however and a lack of discipline leading to weight problems saw his banished to the clubs B team.  

Taarabt has struggled for any first-team opportunities in Lisbon and has reportedly expressed a desire to return to Italy. Pescara are looking for January reinforcements and coach Massimo Oddo will be aware of the huge gamble he would be taking with the Moroccan international.
