On the eve of the Serie A match against Roma, AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri said in a press conference: ‘Tomorrow we’ll face Roma who’ll come to Milan to win and narrow the gap in the standings. It’s up to Ranieri to decide what formation they’ll play. We’ll have to play a great game, because before the holidays the danger of letting up is always present. We’ll play one of the three strongest Italian teams, therefore if we don’t approach the game the right way, we’ll risk losing.’

On the market and Cassano: ‘This morning I spoke to Mr Galliani. The situation is not clear yet, we’ll talk about it after the holidays, when we’ll be back from Dubai and the transfer window opens. We’ll see what the club can do. At the moment Cassano is not a Milan player, nothing is settled. Let’s not make hypotheses about the transfer market, now it’s time to talk about tomorrow and the game against Roma.'

On Ronaldinho: 'Ronaldinho will be certainly included in the squad, then we’ll talk about the transfer market from January 3 on. Of course I wouldn’t mind if Milan signed useful players, of the right mental and technical characteristics. It was the current group which earned first place in the championship and qualified for the last sixteen in the Champions League, so now it’s right to give credit to the players already at Milan. By the way, I think Ronaldinho will stay here until June and he’ll do as best as he can.’
