ANALYSIS: Have Milan's players thrown in the towel?

Another disappointing draw, another week's worth of Miha speculation for unlucky Milan fans.

But it gets worse, dear friends. Much worse. Watching Jeremy Menez cut an indifferent figure on the touchlines on Sunday as Milan were unable to find a winner against Lazio was frustrating.

Mediaset Premium's sideline reporter even said that Sinisa Mihajlovic needed to send his right-hand man, Nenad Sakic, over to persuade the Frenchman to warm up, and to tell him that he'd play at least a quarter of an hour!

This is not the kind of attitude that is needed at Milan right now, especially not from a player who should be fighting for a starting spot after recovering from injury.

The squad is, arguably, quitting on the campaign anyway. Those reports that had us believe that the dressing room was united aren't finding much corroboration. It is telling that the angry calls to order from senators like Cristian Abbiati and Ignazio Abate have fallen on deaf ears.

Though some in the dressing room - say, Andrea Poli - are very much invested, others look to be thinking ahead to next year already.

Mihajlovic has 8 Matchdays and a Coppa Italia final to try and bring this group back together. With owner Silvio Berlusconi breathing down his back and candidates already being lined up to replace him, the Serbian will have to fight till the very end if he wants to keep his job. If he wants to, that is.
