Andrea Pirlo on Twitter: 'Stop rumors, back to work'

    • Lorenzo Bettoni (@lorebetto)
Andrea Pirlo has been recently linked with an Inter move in the next transfer window as the former Milan and Juve playmaker fears that his period of inactivity, that will last from now until March, could determine his exclusion from Italy’s EURO 2016 squad.

By the way, as calciomercato.com can understand, the 36-year-old has temporarily refused to join Inter, even if the Nerazzurri manager Roberto Mancini is trying to convince the Maestro to join his side at least on a two-months loan.

It seems that Pirlo has confirmed his decision not to join the Nerazzurri through a post published on his official Twitter profile.

This morning the Maestro twetted a couple of pictures which are showing him along with his teammate Frank Lampard during their first seasonal training under New York City FC’s new boss Patrick Vieira.

“Finally back to work”, Pirlo wrote on his official Twitter account, adding the hashtags #nycfc #BackHome #ny #StopRumors #PirloStyle"
Nevertheless Roberto Mancini has still not lose faith over a 36-year-old move. The Inter boss has recently released some contradictory statements regarding Pirlo’s future.

Following the Biscione’s 1-0 victory over Torino, Mancini told Sport Mediaset that Inter are not in the race for Pirlo and that the player has never received any offer from the club.

On the other hand, the former Manchester City boss has also admitted that he still doesn’t know whether Pirlo will join Inter next January or not.

‘In football never say never’, he told RAI during the following post-match interview.
