Antoine Griezmann drops hint he could still yet move to Man United

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Greizmann has dropped a hint that he could still yet to Manchester United in the future – even as soon as after the next campaign, when his side’s transfer ban is lifted.

According to The Daily Post, the French international had been on Man United boss Jose Mourinho’s transfer list this window, especially following the serious injury of striker Zlatan Ibrahimović, where the Swede was released despite a successful spell in Manchester

When quizzed on next year by Four Four Two magazine, the 26-year-old said: “To be honest, I don’t know. I’m going to be here next season, after that we’ll see. It’s absurd to talk about something more than a year away.

“I stayed mainly because of the ban. Atletico need me more than ever. It would be dirty to leave.

“I wouldn’t have been myself or the person that I feel I am today, if I had left the club in that way.

“I spoke to Diego Simeone about the situation, our options and how he wanted me to stay to work out what we could do.

“Then we finalised everything with (chief executive) Miguel Angel Gil.”
