Arsenal discover the true price for Lacazette as fresh talks begin

As fresh talks begin between Arsenal and Lyon over striker Alexandre Lacazette, The Telegraph reports that the North London club have been told they will have to pay £60M to get their hands on the French international.

It had seemed as though the 26-year-old was on his way to Atletico Madrid having agreed terms with the Spanish side. After FIFA upheld their transfer embargo however, the situation changed and despite Atleti being prepared to let the player remain at his current club until January (when the embargo is lifted), Lacazette himself is not happy with this arrangement so is looking elsewhere.

Arsenal have been tracking the player since last summer when they looked close to securing his services and Lyon are understood to be sceptical about entering into negotiations once again. Lacazette himself is reportedly being tracked by fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United although The Gunners have always looked to have been in pole-position.
