Arsenal set to complete club-record signing of Lacazette

Arsenal are on the verge of completing a club-record signing securing the services of Lyon star striker Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman is expected to move to North London for a fee exceeding € 50 million, surpassing the Gunners’ record signing of Mesut Ozil who joined the Gunners in 2013 for € 48.3 million.

According to the BBC, ‘talks have progressed and will continue over the coming days’
Arsenal are long time admirers of the French striker although they had never managed to reach an agreement with Lyon till today.

The two parties are close to reaching an agreement and according to some other sources, the deal could be announced by the end of this week-end.

Lyon president Aulas revealed a few weeks ago that he had reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for Lacazette although the Colchoneros’ transfer ban had prevented the La Liga side from completing the signing of the 26-year-old.
