Breaking: Arsenal step up pursuit of Monaco starlet with bid
Reports from France via Inside Futbol are suggesting that Gunner manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful of a deal for the 21-year-old French ace, following a frustrating summer transfer window so far.
It is thought now that the North London side have submitted an offer that is high above the €30m sum fee that La Liga club Atletico Madrid dealt to Monaco this time last year.
Wenger has had his watchful eye on the player for some time and would love to bring him to the Emirates stadium, as Arsenal look up step up a gear from their previous hit-and-miss campaign last season.
The Frenchman has been capped five times by his native country and is a perfect fit for the winning mentality that Arsenal so desperately need.
