As an act of protest, Inter ultras will not attend tonight’s Europa League clash v Sparta Prague

Inter are already out of Europa League having only collected three points in five games and tonight’s San Siro clash against Sparta Prague is not going to be attended by the Seire A giants’ ultras. Some Inter fans, however, have turned up at the stadium earlier today to expose a protest banner that reads: “Four defeats in five games...that’s all you deserve for your undignified efforts....shame on you!”

Inter are not only going to be eliminated from the competition after tonight’s game, but are also set to finish in the last position of their group which includes Sparta Prague as well as Southampton and Hapoel Be’er Sheva. The Israeli team have beat Inter in both their meetings, Franck De Boer was in charge of the first one, whilst Stefano Pioli had already taken over when the nerazzurri lost their away game in Israel.

Elimination from Europa League comes as a big disappointment for Inter as winning the second most important European tournament for clubs would have allow the nerazzurri to qualify for the Champions League, which is the club’s season target. Inter sit ten in the Serie A table at the moment, 11 points behind a Champions League spot.
