Atletico Madrid weigh up shock move for Napoli star Higuain
According to today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, however, Diego Simeone is the man who is the most interested in welcoming the player’s services. The Italian paper reports that El Cholo will stay at Atletico and has asked the club to bring Higuain to the Calderon.
The Colchoneros are reportedly ready to offer € 60 million plus Argentinean midfielder Matias Krenevitter who arrived to Atletico last January but failed to impress during his first six months at the club.
Higuain has a release clause set to € 94 million and Napoli president has insisted several times that he won’t sell the Argentinean fort less that that sum.
Higuain will be offered a contract extension at the end of the Copa America Centenario and will only take a decision at the end of the tournament.
