Ausilio: ‘Inter not spending big in January’

Inter director of sport Piero Ausilio has released an interview with Radio Deejay revealing some of Inter’s transfer strategies for the January window.

“We have to respect FFP rules and we are not going to spend big in the January transfer window. We are going to sell some of our players, but everything will change from next summer.”

Ausilio was also asked his thoughts over tomorrow’s Milan derby and new Inter boss Stefano Pioli.

“He [Pioli] is happy about the squad and the players’ attitude, he could use a 4-3-3 system, but also a formation with two strikers, he still has one training to make a decision.”

“Club’s owners are always very close to the team. Steven Zhang has spent 20 days in Milan and came visited the team very frequently at the training centre. Thohir loves Inter and selling the club to Sunin was an act of love.”

“Gabigol is not playing regularly, but remember what happened with Coutinho. We had to give him away on loan because he was playing a bit-part under Benitez and look what has happened in the end.”
