    Axel Witsel admits that AC Milan wanted to sign him

    AC  Milan are long time admirers of Zenit St.Petersburg star Axel Witsel. The Belgium International, who netted in the Diable Rouge’s 3-0 win over Ireland on Wednesday, has admitted that the rossoneri had made contact to sign him in the past.

    “AC Milan wanted to sign him, that’s true, but that’s an old story. It happened long time ago.”

    The rossoneri could make an attempt to sign him again this summer, especially if a Chinese consortium will complete the club’s takeover.

    Witsel is also a target of Juventus, Napoli and Everton.
