Barca update: Pique hasn't split from Shakira
The couple hasn’t been seen together in public since June, when Lionel Messi got married in his native Rosario to Antonella Roccuzzo.
This has fuelled speculation, but it has been firmly denied by the Colombian star’s publicist, who told HOLA magazine that the stories were “only rumors... from people who want to harm Pique.”
Spanish international Pique has recently been in the firing line over comments made about the situation in Catalonia, where the police had brutally reacted to a pro-independence vote.
The Barcelona defender was booed by Roja fans after saying that: “Well backing the referendum, you can then vote yes or no [for independence]. Or you can spoil your paper but you vote. During many years people could not vote here and this is a right that should be defended by all means within the law possible.
“I am Catalan and I feel Catalan and today more than ever I feel proud of the Catalan people."
