Barcelona, Man City and Juventus among top clubs interested in La Liga defender

The defender has been on the radar of many clubs for several years now. The 26-year-old originated from Sociedad’s youth team setup and is greatly emerging as one of the most highly-sought centre-backs in the Spanish league.
Martinez has now acquired 223 senior appearances for his side, and has established himself as one of the most key players in Sociedad line up, with the club massing an impressive 6th place finish last season, qualifying for the Europa League.
Man City manager and former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has been interested in the player for some time, and could plan a move for him in order to strengthen City’s back line for next season.
