Barcelona back with €110m offer for Liverpool wantaway
The Catalan giants have still not given up on the Brazilian superstar, and are set to offer a total of €110 million in order to lure the 25-year-old in January.
Coutinho was arguably coming off his best season as a Liverpool player, netting 13 Premier League goals and making seven assists in the last campaign.
Though he handed in a transfer request and was reported to have burst into tears when his move to the Nou Camp didn’t come through, the Brazilian’s Catalan travails don’t seem to be over.
Liverpool had already rejected offers rumoured to be in excess of €130m (some talk, later dismissed by Liverpool, even indicated €200m) this summer, but have started the year poorly.
Barcelona, for their part, are flawless in the league, going seven straight wins to take a commanding lead atop the table.
