Barcelona are set to trigger the release clause of Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu to bring him back to the Camp Nou this summer. The 23-year-old left Catalonia in 2015 to sign for the Toffees for a fee of just £4.2M. When the deal was done however, the Blaugrana inserted a buy-back clause of £10.5M which, according to Starsport, will now be activated.
 

Deulofeu fell out of favour at Goodison Park last season under new boss Ronald Koeman and spent the second half of the campaign out on-loan at AC Milan. The Rossoneri wanted to keep the player on a full-time basis but new Barca boss Ernesto Valverde has told club chiefs that he wants the Spaniard to be part of his new-look squad next term.
 

Deulofeu has actually had two different spells on Merseyside having been brought in on-loan by former Everton boss Roberto Martinez in 2013 before his fellow countryman took him on a permanent deal two years ago.
