Barcelona midfielder & Arsenal target kicked out of Turkish squad for attacking a journalist

Barcelona star Arda Turan has been sent home from the Turkish national team for attacking a journalist on a flight carrying the team to Trieste. Hurriyet reports that coach Fatih Terim ordered the player to pack his bags after consultation with federation chiefs.

The incident occurred when journalist Bilal Mese, who works for Milliyet, approached Turan to ask about player bonuses from last summer’s European Championships in which it was reported that there was disharmony in the squad involving the 30-year-old and Terim.

When the question was put to him, an angry Turan snapped back; “Tell me Bilal Meşe, were you there? Were you with us when you wrote about the bonuses issue? Who did I ask for money from? Who did ask I for bonuses from? Talk. Come on. Who made you write those reports?”

The abuse didn't’t stop there either as Turan, who has been heavily linked with Arsenal this summer, continued his tirade at the man who has worked in journalism for over 40 years stating that; “What kind of a country is this? They allow you onto this plane. F*** those who allowed you onto this plane,” Turan reportedly railed at Meşe, describing him as “shameless. You thought I was like the others. Who did I beg for money from? You son of a b****. I’d quit football before allowing anyone to say anything against my honour, my family.
