Barcelona player takes dig at Luis Enrique after Sporting win
The Catalans are coming off another victory, and another close one, defeating Sporting Lisbon on the road with a Sebastian Coates own goal.
Yet defender Jordi Alba made the most to throw a veiled barb at Enrique, who jumped before he could be pushed last season, Barcelona losing 4-0 to PSG in the Champions League Round of 16.
The Spanish international was comparing new Coach Ernesto Valverde with Enrique.
"This year we're playing as a team," Alba said after the win at the Jose Alvalade.
"This year we are all a great team, we are all really involved. Valverde doesn't get involved in what happens in the dressing room, it reminds me of the first year I arrived here."
The Catalans struggled early in the season with Real Madrid, but have since won every single Liga game they have played (six out of six).
