Barcelona scout AC Milan striker as Montella tries new tactical system

AC Milan are set to face Inter in the week-end in the most important game of the season so far. The rossoneri are out of top four and have lost three of their opening seven Serie A games. Vincenzo Montella is desperate to see some sort of changes and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport he is trying a new tactical system that could help the diavoli to have the better of their city rivals in the week-end.

The Italian tactician is reportedly trying a new 3-4-1-2 formation during today’s training session. Either Suso or Bonaventura would play as attacking midfielder behind two main strikers on Sunday night- Meantime AC Milan beat Gattuso’s primavera side this morning for 3-1. Goals came courtesy of Bonaventura, Borini and José Mauri. Borini played as right-winger with Montolivo and Mauri in the middle of the park in place of Franck Kessié and Lucas Biglia.

Kalinic did not play this morning to be preserved from injuries whilst Andre Silva is on International duty with his national team.

The Portuguese striker has had a decent start to the season with goals scored in Europa League and with his national team as well.

Trouble is, the former Porto striker has yet to score his first goal in Serie A but Montella is expected to start him against Inter on Sunday.

According to our sources the Portuguese star was scouted by Barcelona DS Robert Fernandez yesterday night. Andre Silva netted one goal in his side’s 2-0 win against Andorra and Barcelona are considering him as a possible replacement for Luis Suarez.
