Barcelona step up their chase for Dortmund sensation as he hints at a move to the Camp Nou

According to reports in Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have re-ignited their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele. The 20-year-old Frenchman has been on the radar at the Camp Nou since last summer when an official approach was rejected by the player citing his need for regular first-team football.

A year on and it seems the youngster is now open to a move away from Signal Iduna Park after a season which has seen him score 6 goals and provide 12 assists in the 32 Bundesliga games he took part in. Now that coach Thomas Tuchel has departed, the journal understands that Dembele is also ready to move on and is believed to be open to a move to Catalonia.

New Barca coach Ernesto Valverde has been charged with overhauling the squad ahead of next term and despite not being able to guarantee Dembele first-team football, it’s believed that the youngster would provide adequate back-up to Lionel Messi, Neyar and Luis Suarez.
