Barcelona target "not for sale", PSG tell Marca

Marco Verratti isn’t for sale, if the latest declarations from PSG are to be believed.

Marca claim that one of the club’s employees officially told them that a departure was out of question.

“A transfer? Not for 80 million, not for 100m… Verratti is not for sale”, the spokesperson reportedly said.

The Italian and his camp have been linked to a move away from Paris, with recent reports indicating that Barcelona were ready to spend 100m on the 24-year-old, and were also willing to offer the Italian a hefty 10m-a-year wage packet.

The Azzurri star has also been linked to Manchester United, Bayern Munich (recently comparing Coach Carlo Ancelotti to a “father”), Juventus and Real Madrid.

Verratti’s camp has sent numerous signals to the media that he could be ready to leave, hinting that he would end his career in Italy, and that Verratti wanted a more ambitious club.

Agent Donato Di Campli is set to meet with Barcelona again, having also spoken to PSG late last week.
