According to il Corriere dello Sport, Michel Bastos was in Rome for three days last November to negotiate a move from Lyon to Roma.

The Brazilian winger went unnoticed in the Capital but there are good chances to see him in Giallorosso next season. The French outfit set a 10M Euros transfer fee but given the good relationships between the two clubs, Roma could be able to snap him for cheaper.

The 28-year-old player arrived in Europe from Atletico Paranaense in 2006 when he joined Ligue 1 side Lille. In 2009 he joined Lyon and has so far collected over 50 appearances with his current club. Bastos has also been a member of the Brazilian national team collecting 10 caps. In the past, he has been linked to Juventus and Inter.
