Bayern Munich, Chelsea target wants to include release clause in new Napoli contract

Bayern Munich and Chelsea are looking for a new left-back and the two European giants are reported to have set sights on Napoli star Faouzi Ghoulam. The contract of the Algeria International expires in 2018 but the partenopei are said to be close to reaching an agreement to extend the player’s stay at the club.

According to today’s edition of Il Mattino (via forzazzurri.net), Ghoulam is open to sign a new four-year, € 1.8 million-a-year deal but has informed his club that he will only put pen to paper on a contract extension if they include a € 26 million release clause in his contract.

Ghoulam has imposed himself as one of the bet left-backs in Serie A and Napoli have finally managed to reach an economic agreement with the player after a few months of negotiations. Napoli, however, must accept the player’s demand if they want to extend his stay at the club.
