Biglia: I could have gone to Galatasaray
With Lazio facing Europa League opponents Galatasaray this evening, star midfielder and playmaker Lucas Biglia has revealed that he could have joined the Cim Bom Bom back in his Anderlecht days.
“Many years ago, I received an offer from Galatasaray.
“However the negotiations didn't end well, but not for monetary reasons. I based my refusal on my sporting priorities, so I chose to move to Lazio instead”.
Lazio drew 1-1 at the Turk Telekom Arena last week, with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic cancelling out Sabri Sarioglu's opener.
The Argentinian international was full of praise for the Biancocelesti's future hosts.
“It's nice to see a stadium that is bursting at the seams and full of warmth, but I think our fans are every bit as good as Gala's.
“I hope my team-mates encounter the same great atmosphere. It will be a nice match”.
