Biglia, Inter had him but now the plans have changed: Suning are dreaming big

A year ago there were talks between Lazio and Inter for Lucas Biglia. A deal was very close to be concluded as Roberto Mancini liked him a lot. A deal was nearly struck for 22-23 million euros but then talks broke down. The reason? Injuries. The same might happen again as Pioli likes him a lot and there have been rumors linking him to Inter but again, his physical shape is a question mark.

NUMEROUS INJURIES- He picked up a bad knock in today's Samp-Lazio, a few months he had many physical issues (especially with his ankle) which did not allow him to play much this season. Biglia's age (nearly 31 years old), his physical condition and Lazio's high demands are three big problems for Inter Milan. This is why a move now seems unlikely.

SUNING DREAM BIG- To spend 25 million euros for an older Biglia does not seem to be in Suning's plans. They prefer spending a smaller amount for a midfielder like Rincon of Genoa (for example), and then re-invest the saved money on a big deal next summer. Suning will be looking to add a young midfielder who has international experience to their roster.

Things change quickly but Biglia was close to joining Inter last season ....
