Juventus star plays down Chelsea links

Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci has deined that he will be moving to Chelsea next season. The Italian defender told assembled media on Wednesday that he won’t be joining his former boss Antonio Conte next season.

“Those are only rumours”, the talented centre-back said after Italy’s 3-0 over Uruguay earlier this week.

The Italian, however, is being heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer. His agent is reported to have flown to London to negotiate with Chelsea and the 30-year-old has also dropped a social media hint suggesting that he may be on his way out of the J Stadium in the summer.

“It was great to be part of this group”, Bonucci wrote on Facebook  after the Champions League final lost by Juventus this past Sunday.

The Old Lady is not going to sell the Italian for less than € 60 million and negotiations between the player’s agent and Chelsea are believed to be ongoing despite the player’s denials.
