Borussia Dortmund reach agreement with German star striker
The Turkish champions had an option to sign the 30-year-old striker to permanent deal for just € 1.000, but Gomez decided not to return to the club where he spent the last season on loan scoring 26 goals in 33 league games.
The German striker has reportedly agreed to move to Borussia Dortmund and the Bundesliga giants will now enter transfer talks with Fiorentina that are looking to offload the player in order to save money of the striker’s salary.
Gomez has just one year left on his contract and is thought to be available on the market for a transfer fee of € 5-10 million. The former Bayern Munich star joined Fiorentina three years ago but could only scored 7 goals in 29 league games due to a couple of serious injuries which had had a bad impact on his game time at the Franchi.
