Liverpool have won the race to sign 16-year-old wonderkid  Dal Varesanovic from SK Sarajevo. BiHfootball broke the news yesterday and Sunsport understands that the youngster turned down a move to Barcelona preferring instead to head to Anfield to join his hero Steven Gerrard.
 

The Merseyside giants are banned from signing academy players in England but this does not apply to players from overseas and boss Jurgen Klopp has beaten off strong competition to bring Varesanovic to Anfield.
 

It had been first thought that he would be joining Dinamo Zagreb but it’s understood that over the past week, the boy’s parents have had a change of heart and decided to accept the offer from Liverpool. Scouting reports have been very favourable with the player adept at using both his left and right foot and is tipped to have a great future in the game.
