Breaking: Alexis Sanchez will reportedly join Man City, not Bayern

Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez looks like he’s heading to Manchester City, not Bayern Munich.

Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta (via B/R) reports that the former Barcelona man is set to reunite with ex-Coach Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

City are set to splash out £50 million for the attacker, who has only one year left on his deal and has grown disillusioned with the Emirates side.

Caught smiling as the Arsenal side were being humbled by Bayern Munich back in the Spring, Sanchez has repeatedly hinted that the Gunners weren’t competitive enough for him.

Sanchez is set to earn around £300,000 a week, according to Charles Watts of Football.Londom.

Sanchez will move to the Etihad Stadium and reunite with manager Pep Guardiola, who worked with him at Barcelona, according to Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta (h/t Charles Watts of Football.London).

Bayern Munich looked to have sealed the deal yesterday, with reports from Germany emerging that he would earn a stunning £21.7 million a year, with agent Fernando Felicevich’s trip to the Allianz last month seen as evidence that an agreement had been reached.
