Breaking: Arsenal GK agrees to terms with Juventus
According to reporter Fabrizio Romano, the Arsenal goalkeeper has accepted the Old Lady's €4 million a year wage bid, aimed at tempting him to turn his back on Rome and join the Bianconeri.
The Arsenal man has, it appears already told his entourage not to talk to Napoli, who were another club interested in him, because he is already enticed by Juventus' offer.
It looks like the Polish goalkeeper is persona non grata at the Emirates anyway, where Petr Cech and David Ospina rule the roost.
With the end of his second loan to Roma, the 27-year-old is set to return to London, but wants to stay in Italy.
Though Szczesny has done very well, the Giallorossi have Lukasz Skorupski waiting in the wings, and can’t afford to bring the two-year loanee to the Olimpico on a fixed basis.
Juventus, for their part, have already earned the Polish goalkeeper’s approval, but Arsenal want €20 million for him. Slated to be Gigi Buffon’s long-term replacement, the Polish international is very appreciated in Italy.
